Cryogenics and ceramic coatings

I'm currently in the process of building an LT1 V8, and am very interested in this process. In addition to having my engine "frozen", I'm planning on having the piston domes, piston skirts, and valves ceramic coated to help contain combustion temperatures. Is this necessary in addition to the cryo, or will these two processes compliment each other?
