Demarrini - effects to cold temperatures

I puchased a Demarrini double-walled bat,
What happens if Istore the bat outside or subject to cold temperatures ( i live in Michigan,temperatures get cold ) & what would could I do to prolong the life of this expensive bat ? Thanx, Tim
