: A leading barrel manufacturer stated that they challeged all freezers to prove that freezing the barrel did in fact relieve stress and no freezer could prove this in fact one freezer company even had to change there name from " cryogenic stress relieving " to " cryogenic barrel processing" can you in fact prove that you do relieve stress when you freeze items

Randy,
Thanks for your email.
I did hear about such a challenge. I contacted my metallurgist about
setting up such a test. To do so, we could have to build a jig to hold
the barrel in exactly the same orientation for the before and after
testing.
And would then have to install our equipment at the same location as
where the testing would be performed.
Our metallurgist is in Alabama, the cost to perform such a test
accurately would run many thousands.
I have been working on some prototype equipment that can be easily
transported, and should have it completed in the next year.
I would like to see someone prove (metallurgically) that our process as
well as any other quality oriented company's progess does not do what
we
claim it to do.
I have literally 1,000 satisfied customers and most are repeat
customers
who recommend us to their friends.
If this process did not work, I would not be corresponding with you
right now. I'd be out of business a long time ago.
Love to hear back from you.
Sincerely,
--
