Cryo-Stabilizing: A Deep Cryogenic Thermal Treatment

One Cryo's ultra cold cryogenic tempering process offers racers and street riders alike an economical way to increase wear life of metal parts while adding additional horsepower and torque at the same time.

We all know that it takes a lot of money to run up front, but what many riders have learned  is that Cryo-Stabilizing can play an integral part in helping to reduce the costs associated with racing by increasing the durability of metal wear parts by as much as 400 %.

One Cryo's process is a one-time, permanent, multi step thermal cycling process for your disassembled engines, transmissions, clutches, sprockets, and brake rotors.

The first step is to very slowly cool the parts until they reach - 300 F. In this step the parts are cooled at less than one degree F per minute to help remove stress through low temperature compression.

Next the parts are held at - 300 F for 24 to 30 hours. This allows the molecules to condense, reducing the distance between each bond and converting retained austenite (soft carbon molecule) into the more durable martensite molecule.

At the end of this period the parts are returned slowly back to room temperature. It is in this phase that the molecules align themselves in more uniform, more dimensionally stable molecular structure.

The final step is to triple temper each part to 275 - 300 degrees F. This is equivalent to seasoning your parts without introducing wear in doing so.

The Benefits - Increased Durability, Dimensional Stability, Horsepower and Torque.

Factory Suzuki Hooters Team Owner - Steve DeCamp, "Before trying cryo we used to go through a couple of sets of brake rotors per weekend at a cost of $200 per rotor, Now after treating our rotors with One Cryo for just $35 each they last 3 to 4 times longer. That leaves our race team more money to go racing more often."
