NHRA? Larry Morgan's Mopar Powered Avenger |

| Larry Morgan joins the Mopar Family in 1999 wheeling a
Pro Stock Dodge Avenger in the NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series. Morgan and crew chief Jim Coakley will tune the Morgan-built engines and Buddy Ingersoll, an industry leader in chassis design and development, will act as a consultant on the new Mopar team. Working in partnership with DaimlerChrysler Corporation and Mopar engineers, designers and technicians in a virtual extended enterprise, the team interacts on a regular basis to execute the Company's racing programs as one solid unified effort - a true platform approach. the working partnership between the team, Mopar and DaimlerChrysler has resulted in accelerated development and new parts design, which have enhanced the performance capabilities of the team. Morgan has 15 NHRA National Event wins to his credit, including eight Pro Stock wins in 21 Final Round appearances. In addition, Morgan has three Pro Stock Challenge wins and in 1985 and 1990 he was named Driver of the Year on the Car Craft All Star Drag Racing team. |
