Dear One Cryo,

I tried "Cryo" treating on some specific parts that commonly failed in a Briggs & Stratton blueprinted stock engine. The rules in World Karting Association require stock B & S parts in their "stock" classes. Going from the intended 3600 rpm max to 6300 plus rpm can be hard on these parts.

After treating some stock connecting rods, reliability was improved drastically. There is no doubt that some strength was gained and wear was reduced.

New engine blocks also benefit from the "stabilizing" effect of the treatment. I use this on numerous parts now for added performance and reliability.

I also crew chief for my brother, Eric Van Cleef, in the IMSA (now Professional Sports Car ) Endurance Series. Eric was 1996 National Champion in the "Sports" class in a naturally apirated Toyota Supra. In 1997 he moved up to the "Grand Sports" division with a turbocharged Toyota Supra.

The first race of the season at Daytona he qualified on the pole, but the added speed of the turbo gave us some serious brake problems. We had some rotors "Cryo" treated for race #2 at Sebring (along with some improved ducting). Eric qualified second and won the 4 hour race! We were one of only a few top runners who ran the race without changing brakes.

Yes, IT WORKS !

Sincerely,
Andy Van Cleef

Tommy started go kart racing when he was eight years old. It did not take long to know he had a natural talent and ability. With the skill and the power that Advanced Racing Engines has to offer and Tommy's ability, he is a dominant force on the track.

Tommy's racing is a family affair. His father Andy, Mom Carol and two sisters Many and Natalie travel along to races for support and to help crew.

The total family involvement of a sport such as go karting make it the perfect outlet for "quality time". Families such as the Van Cleef's enjoy many hours of family bonding as they work, travel and race together.

Tommy can be found on tracks in Florida from Naples to Jacksonville as wells as on tracks in North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Michigan and Maryland.
